WHAT DOES A RAM DO?
Your processor has its individual on-board memory which is very quick. Your hard disk, on the other hand, is dogging slow. There isn't a whole lot that can be prepared about that; even just ignoring the corporeal mechanics of it, you can think of your processor as being competent to store a single newspaper worth of information, and the hard disk as being a records of every newspaper printed
