For those who are looking to get into the handset Your first touch, LG KP500 would be good bets. It was not officially announced, LG, but the word on the street is that it will be known as once LG Cookie is finally released, and comes with a touch screen, among other things interesting features.
There are only three buttons on the front side, underneath a 3-inch TFT display touch screen, while the back where the 3-megapixel camera, fixed focus, to take care of your snaps. There is reportedly no support for 3G networks, on-board, but at least to get on top of EDGE is quadband GSM.
Other features of the LG Cookie include:
Built-in accelerometer with auto-screen rotate for images, videos and documents
Landscape virtual QWERTY keyboard
Support for widgets
11.9mm thick
Records QVGA video at 12 FPS while playback is up to 24 FPS

In that case, it should be one of the most affordable touchscreen handsets out there, and no doubt a lot of people are going to spring for it at the first chance they get.
