NVIDIA TAKES CHARGE FOR FAULTY GRAPHICS CHIPS
Nvidia has agreed to shell out $119.1 to cover the costs related to a faulty die and weak packaging material used in its graphics chips. Last July Nvidia admitted that some of its graphics chips were overheating because of their weak packaging material. Nvidia said that the problem was compounded by the thermal design of some laptops.
