Coyote presents its first PND

Building on the success of its warning radars, Coyote introduces the first mobile browser offering services in real time, in addition to the classic guide. The goal of the Coyote Nav is to bring new services to the motorist.
This portable navigator features a touch screen of 4.3 inches and a 2GB memory for storing the Navteq maps of 29 European countries.

For guidance, it uses the Destinator navigation software. Via its readers Micro SD cards it can playback MP3/MPEG4. The novelty? The Coyote Nav is equipped with a GPRS connection to access online services. No need to preload data to the Internet via a PC, no extra phone package, the updates are done automatically. More importantly, the system provides access to new services in real time: V Traffic for traffic alerts and mobile speed cameras, speed limits, gas stations cheapest, parking availability through "Oumegarer.com" , carpooling via "123envoiture.com, roadside assistance via" Europeassistance "... That will make travel even easier in the cities that we do not know. Note, however, these new services, provided by GoodKap only work for France.

Of course, these services are not free, but prices remain reasonable, and what more we can enable only the desired elements. Here are some sample prices: Radar Coyote from 2,90 / day, traffic from 0.79 / request, petrol stations cheapest from 1.29 / day ... The service of car is Free Europe Assistance Services are included in the price of the camera for the first year. Obviously, if all active services 24/24 hours, it can be expensive, but there is interest only activate the services if they are needed. This type of PND certainly foreshadows the future of vehicle navigation. Finally, the Coyote Nav sold 399 Euros.
