The giant Japanese consumer electronics Sony announced yesterday at the Berlin IFA show its intention to introduce a compatible Bravia LCD TV with 3D in 2010. Movies, music and games will be the first to arrive at this new home entertainment experience.
The new device will incorporate systems like Sequential Frame Display and Active-Shutter Glass, a 3D display method where the TV generates alternative versions of the image to the left and right eyes and simple glasses synchronized with the screen image. In addition, Sony's technology enables the playback of high quality 3D images of Full High Definition 1920x1080 pixels per eye.
As if this were not enough, the multinational intends to update its Vaio personal computers, the PlayStation 3 game consoles and video players for Blu-ray compatible with this technology.
