Concept: 01 GIANT Projector With Racer And Stone Control

If not often you see technology bathed in bright green colors, but the 01 GIANT concept Canon video projector is pictured in bright green and features accessories in the form of a touch sensor remote dubbed the Racer, and a touchpad called the Stone. The Racer and Stone designs feature touch-sensitive technology, offering a similar usage method to Apple's recently-announced Magic Trackpad. Will a trackpad be more useful than a traditional television remote in the future? Regardless of its functionality, these concept designs do look good.

Portable PC Theater: All In One PC and Projector

We've seen a few combination DVD players and projectors, but Google tells me that so far there aren't any computers with built in projectors.

Enter the Portable PC Theater, one of the more plausible concepts we've seen at Yanko Design.

The unit has a fold out keyboard, a removable projector, and retractable speakers. We don't know why the size is specified: it's a concept after all, so dimensions are meaningless.

Otherwise, though, a very smart idea, and so obvious it really should be for sale. I could have done with one of these back in the Summer. It would have been much easier than dragging a projector, stereo and laptop out onto the terraza.

Optoma HD70 DLP Video Projector

In the past couple of years, video projectors have become a more affordable option for consumers. One projector that provides good way to experience high definition video projetion at an affordable price is the Optoma HD70.

The HD70 is a DLP video projector. This projector has a 1280x720 (720p) native pixel resolution and 16x9 aspect ratio, in combination with a 2,000 hour light source that generates 1,000 lumens of brightness.

The HD70 also has a 3000:1 contrast radio, as well as all necessary video inputs (inlcuding HDMI). If you are looking for an inexpensive (less than $1,000) High-Definition capable video projector with good performance, check out the Optoma HD70.
